PayIt, the leader in digital customer experience solutions for state and local governments, is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with the Harris County Tax Office to launch Express Visits on MyHarrisCountyTax. The feature, named “Priority Pass” on MyHarrisCountyTax, speeds up the process for office visits, allowing residents to digitally submit pre-visit documentation and accelerating the agency’s operations.
“Priority Pass lets our team spend less time checking paperwork at the counter and more time helping the resident in front of them,” said Annette Ramirez, Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector and Voter Registrar. “With pre-approval, residents avoid the frustration of missing or incomplete documentation, and can move through their branch visit faster.”
Through Harris County Tax Office’s Priority Pass, residents complete their required paperwork, upload the documents, and pre-authorize eligibility online or through a mobile device. PayIt’s fraud detection technology verifies the documents before approving, providing increased security. Once approved, the resident receives a Priority Pass barcode by email and can move through a dedicated queue at the branch. Today, Priority Pass is available for vehicle registration renewal, with additional services to come.
For Harris County Tax Office staff, Priority Pass removes a manual check that used to happen at the counter, which keeps service windows moving and frees up staff to focus on residents with more complex needs. Agencies can also use pre-visit verification data to plan staffing and forecast which services need more support at a given branch.
